CHRONICLES from the cave

Based out of Montreal, Val Thomas is described as « creating irresistible melodies, reminiscent of a Karen Dalton or Joni Mitchell” by the Festival d'Ete de Quebec who invited her to play before she had launched her first EP. Her aerial-groove folk and crystal clear voice explore the haunting sides of love, giving them their rightful beauty. Equipped with her acoustic guitar, the singer-songwriter creates soft melodies in a light atmosphere to approach darker subjects.

Her first year has been promising having been invited to play at the Festival d'Ete de Quebec, Indie-Week Toronto, Pop Montreal and having launched her EP at M for Montreal as well as having opened for the likes of Pascal Picard, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Blood and Glass and Thus Owls, Jonathan Roy, Hollow Coves etc..
